Saturday Shots

Jake showing off his new "lightning McQueen" sunglasses for Papa Dee (on the web cam)! This boy is one cool dude!
The boys enjoying playing....

Cole .... getting bigger every day!

Jake and Cole were so excited to see Chris tonight, b/c he had duty yesterday and worked all day today, so they were beyond thrilled this evening when he came home. They didn't want to let him out of their site.
Jake loves when Cole follows him around....probably as much as Cole enjoys following Jake around :-) Cole gets easily distracted, but I love watching them play.... They crack me up!

Swimming in the Yard

These pictures are from last week when Becky and Katy were here in town (just haven't gotten around to posting them). After a busy week, we decided to take it easy towards the end of the week and swim a little bit in the yard, so I busted out the pool from last year - and blew it up (ahhh)! I wasn't quite sure what the boys would think of it, especially Jake. I was pleasantly, pleasantly surprised, as it was a HUGE hit!
Here is Cole checking out the water shooting up out of the pool....
Taking it all in :-)
Cole loving it....

Jake trying out the slide....
and now HEAD FIRST....
and again....
and again....
taking a water break!

2 Teeth!!

Oh yes.... and Cole has 2 teeth coming through! He has had a little bit of a rough time with it .... but he is starting to come around now :-) I had to get a picture with him crying, so that you could SEE the teeth (if you blow the picture up)!! My baby is reaching milestone after milestone faster than I can keep up!

That's What I Love About Sundays....

There is lots to love about Sundays, but I especially love that the 4 of us get some family time together! Here are some random pictures from today....
Cole getting into the diapers (like brother, like brother)!
Cole LOVES the train table .... and especially when Jake isn't around to "push" him out of the way :-)
Jake getting Thomas the Train tattoos.....
He LOVED them.....
So, we had to put them ALL on him!
Jake likes to shave when Daddy is shaving..... here they are:
too cute!!
Cole watching and wanting a turn....
Yes Cole, I get that you're big now :-)
THIS was our seafood feast tonight! Everything was completely fresh ..... shrimp scampi on the grill (that we marinated first), stuffed scallop, twice baked potato, green beans (okay, those weren't fresh), and we had fresh clams for appetizer. Oh so yummy!!!!! We are already planning our next one!
More pictures of Cole standing up in his crib..... He makes me so nervous, but he is so proud of himself! What the picture doesn't show is the HUGE GRIN he has on his face!

The Sandbox

This past week, we headed to Hilton Head to check out the Children's Museum. It was pretty cool - and Jake had a great time! It was a little "cramped" - not just because it was crowded, but it wasn't quite as wide open as other Children's Museums, but it was FUN nonetheless! Here is the entrance.... it's called The Sandbox! (Cole is looking at the fish tank - that Jake is also fixated on, b/c I tried to get him to get in this picture, but he wasn't having it when he could be looking at Nemo in the fish tank)!!
Playing in the sand....
Building a house....
and painting?!
ringing the doorbell....
PRETENDING to eat lots of scoops of ice-cream (i have to keep reminding him to pretend)!
Awwww.....
Mommy eating one of Jake's cupcakes

Jake steering the pirate ship....
looking for.... ???

Cole on the rock climbing wall....
Jake grocery shopping....
SCISSORS!!!!!!
Painting a picture - his 1st painting, I might add (which is now on the fridge) :-)

Painting with Aunt Becky!!

Of course Jake found the train table and DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE IT! I mean, come on kid - the one you have at home is WAY COOLER, so there was definitely a melt down that occurred when I forced him to leave this train table ..... at least the child is predictable!
Driving the plane (but Jake says it was a rocket ship)!!

Cole laughing at Jake .....
Cole as the pilot....
Jake's turn.....

NEMO....

And honestly, why would Mommy ask questions while the boy is painting?! He was in full concentration mode!!
