We have been having some crazy weather around here lately. This past Sunday night, we had a huge thunderstorm - and lightning hit the house! It was pretty scary - you could see a spark. I've never felt (or heard) something like that. As the evening went on, we kept smelling a gas smell. To make a long story short, we ended up having to evacuate the house (the boys were already sleeping) ... and the Gas Company came out and realized that lightning had struck the gas line, putting a hole in it, causing a leak. They turned off the gas - and we were able to go back inside ... BUT they are still in the process of fixing it all (they had to cut through dry wall to get to the hole).
Obviously, we are all just thankful that we are okay. These storms have been brutal in our area, lately.
I got a video during the hail part of the storm. I can't remember a time I've seen hail that huge!
