Summer highlights (cont)

Then, there was a trip to PA to see Mom-Mom and Pap-Pap for the 4th of July, followed by Poppy's 42nd birthday (no, Jake didn't get to eat any icing....but not because he didn't try), then a trip to Tennessee for a Whitten family reunion. Other fun moments included going to Washington D.C., and going to the beach to see Nana and Grandad (pictures have already been posted on the blog), BUT of course the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the summer for Jake had nothing to do with anywhere we went - but something Jake got to do: EAT BABY FOOD!!!!!!! He hasn't turned back since. If Jake could actually put his sounds into words, he would be telling us that above all, EATING has by far been his favorite thing to do this summer and as long as he keeps getting his meals on schedule, he will travel the world with me :-) I hope that as YOUR summer has come to an end, it was an outstanding time for you - and that the fall is even better!!
