What does the Train Say??

Loves his Animals...

Have I ever mentioned that Jake LOVES his animals?  ALL animals, actually...  And he loves lining things up on window ledges, most recently his animals.... Hmmmm....
He hugs them and everything.... Hopefully he never comes face to face with a lion...or tiger...or even an elephant....b/c he will be disappointed that they won't let him hug them!

PI Graduation Videos

Here are a couple of the graduation videos.  The voice you hear is Chris' voice (in both videos).  Jake and I were WAY off to the side, so that we wouldn't bother anyone, so I didn't get the best video - and Jake was trying to grab it out of my hand, but....Chris did a good job - and the whole graduation was really cool.  Since we were so far off to the side, Jake obviously had no idea that Daddy was out there, but he liked hearing whoever was "yelling" :-)  Also, in the picture on the last post, if you can blow the picture up, Chris is in the center of the picture - facing the recruits....and standing by himself - so, that's how you can tell which one he is :-)

I was even further back during this video...but if you listen closely you can hear Chris....and at the end, I move up a little closer - and you can definitely hear him way more clearly!  Pretty cool....

PI Graduation

Another beautiful day today.... Jake and I got up this morning and headed over to Parris Island for Echo Company's Graduation.  Chris is in Fox Company, but he was the adjutant (i hope I spelled that correctly) for this graduation, so had several speaking parts, so we went and checked it out.  Graduations are always fun - especially on a beautiful day like today...and the "people watching" is great.  I mean, it's so cool to me to see all these excited and proud family members ..... and I also enjoy checking out all of the outfits :-)  You see everything from t-shirt and sweatpants....to people dressing to "impress" (if you know what I mean)!  Anyway, we had a good time.....we got to the parade deck about 5 minutes before it started (because it's hard killing time with Jake in his stroller), and we actually parked down a "reserved street."  I'm happy to announce no ticket - I was just going to play the pregnancy card anyway :-)  haha!  I actually didn't realize it was a reserved street until we were already in the stroller - and I wasn't going to do anything about it then...I figured with it being graduation day - maybe the MPs just wouldn't care.  It's not like I was parking in the General's spot or anything ;-)  ALSO, we took some Noah's Ark animals with us....and one of the giraffes got left behind :-(  So sad!  I mean, 2 of every animal went into the ark, so how am I going to explain to Jake 2 of every animal - except the giraffe.  BUT - no worries, because Chris was nice enough to walk over there later this morning...and he SAVED the giraffe :-)  It's been an exciting day already.... Now, we are off to downtown Beaufort to meet a friend for lunch.  HAPPY FRIDAY to all :-)  *Oh, and I had to bust out the pacifier at graduation today, b/c Jake was trying to talk to me a lot (you wouldn't know he is Chris and mine's child)....so for probably only the third time ever, I had to use it as a "please be quiet right now" trick* :-)

Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

This video was taken the other night when we had gone to chick-fil-A...and brought Daddy home some dinner.  For those of you who have been around Jake, you know he not only likes to "share" his food (both real and pretend food/drink) - and he definitely makes priceless "mmmm" noises afterwards.  This video cracks me up - and watch Jake's tongue when Chris is saying "mmmm".  It's so hilarious!!  :-)

Dirty, Nasty Mosquitoes!!

I'm happy to say that the weather IS finally getting a little bit nicer here - and not SO humid, but the mosquitoes are still out in the thousands!  Unfortunately for Jake, he must have inherited the "mosquito attraction" from me, because mosquitoes eat me alive no matter where I am and who I'm with - they find ME....and as you can see, they find Jake, too :-(  He got several bites on the side of his face :-(  They don't seem to be bothering him too much, but....poor guy!

Getting SO big

Jake just turned 20 months a couple of days ago (Sept 28).  It's amazing how big he is getting!  I think he grows EVERYday!  I was realizing the other morning when I was getting him out of his crib how BIG he is in his crib.  It wasn't THAT long ago when he was as small as the first picture on this blog.  WOW!  Anyway, the boy always has some crazy bed head when he wakes up in the morning, too....and I continue to love the morning smile through the pacifier :-)
