Rain Boots and PJs

It has been rainy the past couple of days, but humid ..... so we did get outside yesterday morning for a few minutes to splash away in the puddles in our rain boots (well, Jake's rain boots). He seemed to enjoy splashing with his hands more than his feet, though. However he did it - he was having a blast (and of course he had to blow "thomas bubbles", too) ....

Little Moments

Here are a couple of pictures of Jake getting ready to go to the playground (sporting his new hat - that HE put on backwards himself)...and then Chris, Jake, and me on the slide AT the playground. This was on my birthday - and Jake didn't know that Chris was meeting us there, so when he saw him drive up, he ran at least 50 yards to go give him a hug :-) Cole was there, too, of course - just all bundled up .... it was chillier than it appeared once we actually got outside.

Birthday FUN

We celebrated my birthday with cake on Sunday night (and silly string and trick candles and poppers - thanks Chris) since my sister was here! Jake enjoyed every last bite of ice-cream cake....

29! Wow! I'm so old - and yet, so young!

Today has been a really good birthday. My mom is in town, so that's great. We got some starbucks and made a quick trip to Target (always exciting)! Jake even had his first starbuck's frappuccino (what did I start)?!?! The weather is in the 70s - beautiful, so off to the playground this afternoon. Moe's for dinner - yay.... and then after we put Jake to bed, Chris and I are going to go to Outback for some dessert while Mom stays here with the boys!! How lucky am I on this birthday?! Turning 29 is a big deal, though! I have lots I want to accomplish before I turn 30, so I better get started ......

BUBBLES!!!

There's nothing that makes me fall in love all over again with my husband than watching him blow "thomas bubbles" with Jake outside :-)

Jake got this Thomas train that blows bubbles for his birthday. You dip it in the bubbles and then blow them - and when you blow out the bubbles, the train also makes the "choo choo" sound, but Jake instead of blowing would put his mouth on it and just make the "choo choo" sound himself. It was pretty funny .... he would finally get the hang of it, but the whole entire process was pretty hilarious, so I tried to capture what I could on video :-)

Aunt Jul and Mimi got here today - yay :-) Here are some pictures from the afternoon! Jul has to leave on Monday, but Mom is going to stay through the week - very exciting!!!
