Cole is STILL here :-)
I know there has been a lot of posting about Jake lately (and will continue through tomorrow with his birthday party and all), BUT Cole is STILL with us....and STILL really really cute! :-) He's doing great - and eating so well...and getting so big already. I can't believe he'll be 1 month old next week - wow!
Where is Jake?
Remember a while back when I posted a picture of Jake hiding behind the china cabinet? Well, he is on to something different now. When it is bath time - or bed time, he hides, but he does so by doing what Chris and I call "the ostrich" :-) Here is a picture of what he does.... and he thinks that since he can't see us - we can't see him, so of course we walk around doing the typical good parent thing, "where is Jake?" The other thing he sometimes does is hide his face with his hands (again, as if to say that if he can't see us, we can't see him). He's a crack up! What will the kid think of next? I'm not sure...but I can't wait to find out...

Trains, Trains, Trains...
Yummy Cake....
Train Table!!
Chris and I got Jake a train table for his birthday (because we really have room for it - still figuring out the best place to put it, actually), BUT Jake was super excited - and I would LOVE to know how many times he went around and around the table yesterday .... well over 100 - I promise. SO, it was of course worth it to see the excitement on his face - and experience the joy with him while playing with it. When he woke up from his nap, he came out saying "WOW", which I anticipate will happen when he comes out of his room again this morning - as if to say, "it wasn't a dream...I really have a train table." :-)
Here is some video of his reaction (i think a little bit of shock - guess he didn't realize how cool his parents really are - haha!):
Birthday Presents ... woo-hoo!!
Jake got some fun birthday presents for his birthday, to include lots of Thomas the train toys. He got some books (which I hear him playing in his crib over the monitor right now), some clothes, pajamas, rain boots (now we're ready to splash in some puddles on a rainy day...bring on the rain), some bath crayons, puzzles, train carrying case, a little bit of money, and of course some trains :-) Thanks to everyone for helping make his birthday extra special. He is one loved boy!!

My "baby" is 2!!!!!
2 years ago today.... sweet, precious, wonderful Jake Adam...
1 year old ....2 years old today (drinking chocolate milk and eating hashbrowns from Chick-fil-A)...
We truly have been blessed above and beyond - and are so undeserving, but so incredibly thankful for the wonderful gift of Jake!! It's amazing he is 2 today! What a FUN day it has already been.... Daddy has his class tonight, so he was able to work it out, so that he could take off this morning to spend some of Jake's birthday with him (something I will not forget, b/c I know that isn't easy with his schedule)! We had a doctor's appointment early this morning - and got a good report on his hearing, Chick-fil-A for breakfast, came home for some present opening (train table pictures to be posted later), Moe's for lunch, yummy cake for dessert, a little nap .... and now off to the playground, which is why I will have to wait until later to finish posting more pictures, and maybe a little family web camming later, too (hopefully).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
Cole's first blog video :-)
Today has been all about Jake (due to his birthday and all), but the little brother has not been forgotten by any means... :-) He has wanted in on all of the action - including singing Happy Birthday (well, he at least woke up for it) :-) Here is Cole's debut blog video.... He's so talented, huh?! :-)

Umbilical Cord Off =
HAIRCUT :-(
THIS is what happens when you try to cut your almost 2 year old child's own hair - and he won't sit still at all! It gets butchered... The good news is that Chris didn't cut off his ear. The bad news is that I said, "don't cut him" one too many times for Chris. Chris keeps telling me his hair will grow back. Hurry and grow back hair!!!!! :-)
