While Playing the Waiting Game...

While we are waiting for Cole, here are some pictures from the week.  We were able to spend a couple of nights hanging out with the Poe Family who are staying on Fripp Island, which is about 20 minutes from our house!! :-)  So, we have enjoyed 2 nights of some REALLY YUMMY SHRIMP - and excellent company!!!!!!

We walked on the beach - briefly (much to Jake's dismay...the briefly part - not the beach part).  It was so cold, but Jake didn't notice.  He would have run right into the water, if we let him!!

And for a Cole update.... after my doctor's appt this morning, not too much progress has been made (even though I'm due tomorrow), so they scheduled me to start my induction on Jan 10 (yes, a week from Sunday - boooo).  I guess unless something happens before then, we have another 10 days of waiting.....

Bed Time

As you can see in most of the pictures, Jake did not want to let go of his new Thomas and Percy trains.  When it was bath time, he cried through the whole bath, b/c I would not let him bring them into the bath tub with him.  So, when it was bed time, I let him take them into his crib with him.  I went to check on him a little while after he fell asleep, and he had Percy clutched in his RIGHT hand....and you will notice Thomas is laying on his stomach.  I have a feeling these trains will not be let out of his sight for a while now.... :-)  I had to take a quick picture, b/c it cracked me up!  

Last but not Least...

Jake got a fire truck..... AND a smart cycle, which he will grow into, but was pretty excited when we put in the Thomas the Train game for it!  

A few More...

He then opened a Yo Gabba Gabba guitar... :-)  Very exciting - and we should have the songs memorized in no time!

Mimi and Papa Dee come to visit (and bring presents)!!

Mimi and Papa Dee got here today!! :-)  Yay!  Now, we are all just awaiting Cole's arrival (any time now, buddy....but preferably beginning in the morning hours) :-)  Here are Jake and Papa Dee watching a little Fox News.  Jake thinks he's so big, too!

THEN, once Daddy got home from work and after dinner, it was time to open Christmas presents...
Jake got a miniature train set with Thomas and Percy.  He was so excited, he had to be enticed to open the rest of his presents :-)

Water Table...

Here is Jake playing with his water table that he got for Christmas.  You can see in the last picture that when the water squirts up out of the octopus, he tries to drink it :-)  This table ended up being a bigger hit than I even expected...

Playing Outside...

This morning....we braved the chilly weather and went outside to play and enjoyed a little fresh air (and at the same time, I got all of our outdoor lights/decorations down, which was nice)!  Here is Jake playing a little baseball ..... and saving the world in his fire truck!!
