Rainy Day Fun

We've had some rainy days here in Beaufort over the past 7-10 days. Thankfully, it has been rain and NOT snow :-) I miss the sun on a consistent basis, though .... there's just something about the sun shining each day that I love. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the rain, too, but rainy days just aren't quite the same when you can't just curl up on the couch with a blanket all day long ... and since my boys only have a TV/movie attention span of about 15 minutes max, there isn't too much curling up on the couch that can be done, so we find OTHER fun ways to enjoy rainy days and nights. Here are a few:

Tackle football and wrestling with Daddy before bedtime (which works out great for "wind down" time, since Chris doesn't get home until about 7pm) :-) It's well worth it, though - just to watch how much fun they have.... Cole likes to be involved most of the time, but sometimes just likes to look on .... and

also just likes to relax....
Playing with balloon hats we got at Chick-fil-A ....
Even Mimi was a good sport and joined in :-)
Cole, of course, wanted a turn ....

All smiles ....
Playing with the CARs car wash toy that Jake got for Christmas. Very fun, very messy .... but the boys love it :-)


Enjoying painting .... lots and lots of painting (thanks, Aunt Becky)


Cole, in true fashion, wanted to color, too, since that is what Jake was doing, and ..... he actually did pretty well... and lasted about 3 minutes!





Playing the sandwich game with Daddy that Casey gave Jake for his birthday. DEFINITE recommendation to parents out there looking for a fun, learning game for their kids (it's a Melissa and Doug game).

AND.... for those sunny moments (like our 70 degree weather on Sunday - so nice), we played outside - and Jake continued to perfect riding his scooter....
