Always Moving...

My boys are always moving .... always. I LOVE their energy, though - it motivates me.

Cole found Daddy's cammies....

I tried to tell him they are dirty and need to be washed, but he didn't seem to care .....

Daddy and Jake were outside grilling hamburgers and hot dogs - and Cole so desperately wanted to be out there :-)
FINAL DRILL this morning .... I wanted to get some pictures, but couldn't really figure out how to hold Cole and make this happen, so I let Jake take some pictures. You can tell it's VERY humid (note the hazy pictures) - and Jake didn't take any of the recruits drilling .... just of Mommy, Daddy, and Cole Baby :-)


I walked out of the kitchen to THIS cute picture today .... I couldn't get him to put it on the right way, but he's still super cute!!


NOW, it's the right way .... kind of!

Lowes Build and Grow

My friend Ginger told me a few weeks back about this program that Lowe's does called BUILD AND GROW. They have them about every other Saturday .... and you get an apron and a little kit for the project of the day. So, this morning .... we ventured out in the massive rainstorm (notice the Lowe's parking lot in the picture below) and first met Ginger and McKenzie at Chick-fil-A for some breakfast .... and then headed over to Lowe's.

Jake and McKenzie putting together their "bug box". Yes, the apron on Jake is huge .... I just didn't get the chance to tighten it while we were there. Once we got home, we adjusted it, so it fits better for when he wears it while working on his tool bench at home :-)
I brought the toy hammer from home for Cole, so he could join in on the fun ..... he pretty much was out of it - and fell asleep before it was over.
Thankfully, no smashed fingers. Isn't it so cool?!?! Jake thought he was big stuff!

Randoms from the Week ....

The funny story behind THIS picture is ..... Jake still was all about his rain boots this week, BUT as I was trying to get him to go down for a nap earlier this week, I peeked in his room and saw him STANDING UP LEANING AGAINST THE ROCKER (in the back ground) ..... and he was sound asleep - with the rain boots on (of course). I ran to get the camera - and heard a crash .... and this is where he landed, but he was still asleep - with the rain boots still on :-) Jake is a riot!!

Cole was SUPER excited it was bath time. As soon as he heard the water running, he took off crawling for the bathroom - and this is where he ended up!

Cole at Play Group

My boys LOVE play group on Monday mornings on base. Jake loves playing with the other kids, new toys, and he especially enjoys the story and singing time :-) Cole has a blast, too - especially with the tunnels they have. If I thought that I could fit them anywhere in my house, I would get one for him, but ..... I'm just not quite sure where I would put it! The boy is just getting so big and gets cuter and cuter every day (if I do say so myself)!

Rain boots on a SUNNY DAY

Today was a SUNNY, hot day .... pretty typical for here in Beaufort, SC.

Jake, however, prepared for rain. He didn't care that there were blue skies outside - he was ready for the rain .... just in case. He INSISTED on wearing them today. I should've known when he walked into our bedroom this morning at 6:05am with his Thomas pillow, bear, AND already wearing his rain boots :-) He wanted to wear them inside - and OUT today ... and being the cool mom that I am, I let him.


See..... (but what a cute, cute little man)
oh, and this is Jake and Cole making a huge mess - but Jake helped clean it all up before bedtime.

And yes, I JUST took this picture. He is sound asleep ..... with the rain boots right next to him! Maybe it'll rain tomorrow, Jake!!
