This afternoon, Jake and I went to see Daddy play his softball game on base. You can see by the pictures that Jake wanted to be on the field WAY more than sitting on the blanket. He enjoyed watching while standing up by the fence - and got especially excited when Daddy appeared in the dug out (even started crying when he walked away)! I tried to explain to him there is no crying in baseball ;-)

The Office
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDKBizCsoAo&feature=related
For all of you that love the TV show The Office and love Jim and Pam - you will want to check this out. My sister-in-law Becky sent this to me back in January (thanks so much Becky - this is great) - and I was JUST able to view it, b/c of our horrible internet here, and I had to post it on the blog for your viewing pleasure.

Happy St. Patty's Day....and a Mother's Initiation
Yesterday was St. Patty's Day, as all of you know. So, yesterday morning I decided that we were going to celebrate the Irish in us during dinner.....and I decided to make Irish food (just corned beef - nothing fancy) and then I decided to make some lime/green jello - picture included (not Irish, but fun) :-) It was just supposed to be a little something to "spice" up our evening meal. It was all very delicious, too (if I do say so myself). Jake especially loved his jell0 - and I couldn't find the camera in time to take pictures before he had scarfed it down. Jake went to bed at normal time...Chris and I went to bed a couple hours later - and another day was done. Around 3am, I thought I heard Jake coughing a little bit (surprising I heard it, b/c we all know I'm a sound sleeper....although it has changed a little bit since I had Jake - which many said would happen). I went to just roll over - no big deal, but something inside me told me I should just check on him. So I tiptoe into his room and from a distance could see him sleeping....I got up close - and yes, he was sleeping - in a huge pile of throw up!!! YUCK! That's where the mother's initiation came in, b/c Jake has only had 1 stomach virus and it was before he was eating table foods, so it wasn't the end of the world. Jake never spit up as a baby, either, so I've been very fortunate. Now, let me say that I would deal with throw up over blood anyday, so it's all good - except that it was 3am and it was everywhere and no one wants to be doing that in the middle of the night. As I was climbling into bed 2 HOURS LATER (yep, that's how long it took to clean up and get Jake back to sleep), I was thinking about how this was probably just the first of many nights in the next 17-18 years that I would be up in the middle of the night. I also thought about how Jake is worth it :-) Oh, and the lime green jello on St. Patty's day....well, that WON'T be a family tradition in our house! (Oh yes...and Jake - he is doing much better this morning and seems to be himself, so - maybe it was just a fluke)?!

Savannah, GA
While my parents were here....we also went to Savannah - and walked on River Street, which is a street by the river (go figure) with lots of shops....and the highlight was the pralines - lots of free samples!!! Jake even got to eat some gelato, so he knew it was a special occasion!
Having lots of FUN!
